Vietnam’s largest island, Phu Quoc, is located in the Gulf of Thailand, and as the reigning monarch, is surrounded by a retinue of two dozen smaller islands. It is known as one of the leading resorts with luxurious beaches and stunning nature. In 2015, another gem was added to its attractions – the Safari Park in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. During its existence, it has gained unprecedented popularity. Spectacular tours are organized for guests, which also include a visit to a colorful show where four-legged and feathered artists perform.
Safari Park – a unique natural monument
When creating the park, there were several objectives, and one of them was the preservation of rare and endangered species. There are 400 species of flora and 150 species of fauna on its territory. Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is considered a center for research, breeding and conservation of Vietnam’s rarest animals and plants. In this corner of nature for 1 day you can see the diversity, admire the beauty and grace of animals and birds, to observe them in their natural habitat.
The entire area is divided into 2 large segments: the zoo and the Safari Park outdoors. In fact, it is now the only place of this kind of destination after the closure of the National Park.
Zoo
This center is not limited only to its demonstration functions, it conducts serious research on the conservation of endangered species, studies the prerequisites for their reduction in the natural environment and develops options for solving these problems.
The part dedicated to the zoo is officially called the Wildlife Conservation Park.
In the spacious aviaries you can see:
- Bengal tigers;
- African elephants;
- Himalayan bears;
- warthog boars.
Flocks of pelicans, flamingos, and swans live in open spaces. You can admire the peacocks and cranes.
Safari
This is the second, not inferior segment of the complex. It is traveled only by buses with panoramic windows. It takes about 30 minutes to drive through the Safari Park on Phu Quoc Island. During this time it is possible to see the formidable predators of the savannah, the swift gazelle, rhinoceros, resembling invulnerable towers and other animals.
Shows with animals
While some species prefer to hide from prying human eyes, others are happy to pose for the camera and take part in a spectacular show. Entertainment programs take place daily, at 10:00, the duration of the show is 30 min. On weekends there is an additional show at 14.00. The main performers include monkeys, elephants, and, oddly enough, buffalo. Depending on the season, the composition of the troupe and the structure of the performance may vary.
The schedule of shows at the Wynperl Safari in Phu Quoc in Vietnam is better to clarify in advance.
National dances
To diversify the series of experiences and attract even more tourists, the park demonstrates Zulu folk dances. This bright costumed performance to the rhythmic beat of drums really attracts a lot of spectators. Previously this kind of dancing could only be seen in Africa, but now it has become one of the trademarks of Wynperl Park.
Handmade souvenirs
It is simply impossible to leave the park without buying a commemorative figurine. But the organizers have gone much further and offer a unique master class of making traditional toys tohe. They are created from a mixture of rice flour and rice, dyed with natural dyes. It is an age-old cultural tradition invented in the northern villages of the country. Despite the simplicity of outlines, this toy is filled with warmth and very attractive. Most often an animal, bird, fruit or vegetable is taken as a sample.
How to get to the Safari Park?
The easiest and most economical option is to take public transportation from the city of Truongdong. The bus is free and runs once every half hour. That’s where the generous offers end. The cost of a cab or private transport is not as favorable, but you can admire the surroundings of the island and drive right up to the central entrance of the park.
It is more advantageous to buy a complex ticket. You can walk along it during the day not only to the zoo, but also to the amusement park. The price does not include feeding the animals, renting wheelchairs and baby carriages. Photographs with animals also have to be taken for a fee. You can eat at fast food kiosks and cozy restaurants. Wynperl Safari in Fukuoka is open from 9 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. The last bus leaves the grounds half an hour before closing time.
A visit to the park will be an unforgettable experience for both adults and children.
