If you have a car and a free day, do not sit in Prague, and go to the Polish border, the castle Hasištejn. This year is the eighth Window on Medieval Life festival. The program includes knightly tournaments, stirring medieval music, belly dancing, non-contact methods of horse training, falcon shows, fencing and theatrical performances.
You can try your hand at pottery, blacksmithing, or as a medieval weaver. The historic Burnt Foot Tavern and the Gingerbread Tavern in the castle will be open. Children can also participate in all activities, but for them prepared a separate program: knightly games, archery, testing armor and weapons, as well as shooting at the castle of a huge catapult.
